When you buy green products, you’re not only stopping new trees from being cut down to make the paper, you are also taking profits away from companies that don’t care about the environment and giving them to companies that do care.

The first thing you should do is to not get all this wasted paper sent to you in the first place. It saves you time, space and most importantly it saves trees. Ask your phone company to not send phone books to your building, read your news online, and opt-out of paper junk mail!

Recycling in NYC is the law, so you better be doing it! If you live outside of NYC though it can be harder, but with a little help from our links, you too can to do the right thing.

Use green energy and make sure the companies you buy from use green energy. This is something that’s easier than you think if you live in the NYC area. Use solar energy whenever possible, every bit counts and if you can… Plant a tree!
