We spent the holiday working on the identity and page designs for the Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Foundation website.
NOTE: It turns out this logo isn’t going to work because it represents a very small period of the artist’s work but it’s what everyone remembers him by… We’re working on something new and improved and will post it here soon.
While researching the life and work of Adolph Gottlieb we came across many of his ‘burst’ paintings which he did later in his career and thought they’d be perfect for a logo for the foundation. They’re very iconic (he even has a painting called icon)
We also came up with a modern layout for the site, inspired by art book layouts and the clean presentation of gallery walls.
