We’re just starting work on ToughMudder.com, which is sure to be one of the most unique and high energy projects we work on in the coming year (maybe ever). It looks like an endurance race for someone with a death wish:
The first thing we’re going to do is choose a kick ass logo font. After looking through a few hundred grunge fonts we came up with these as the finalists:
NOTE: You can click any of the images in this page for more detail and options
We met again with the Tough Mudder blokes today, worked through some of the logos and narrowed it down to one:
So how did you make the font.. what did you start with and then how did you give it the banged up look.. I assume photoshop.. can you tell me the filters you used etc ?
the fonts used are free grunge fonts, although technically you could distress any font. To do the distressing on the running guy we have a grunge texture that we put over shapes in illustrator and then use ‘divide’ to cut the dirt out of the shape. If you use illustrator let me know and I’ll post the grunge texture for you.
I just have photoshop.. thanks for the info
Hi There,
Is there a high res tough mudder logo available?
in the past TM hasn’t made it freely available as a vector but I can check for you, what would you want it for – just curious
I like your font with the shoe print. I don’t suppose you would let me print that on a shirt for a Tough Mudder event would you?
Greetings!
Really like your work. I was wondering if you could possibly share the TM logo or the grunge texture. I’m doing a personal shirt and would love to keep things consistent to what you are doing.
Thanks so much and keep up the good work!
